Woosmell® Cork Collection—Cork Diffuser

A diffuser shaped like a small sculpture — and it works twice as long as a reed stick. The Woosmell® Cork Diffuser replaces rattan and fiber reeds with a solid cork ball whose microporous structure absorbs oil and releases scent evenly for 60–90 days. No more fading halfway through the bottle, no more flipping reeds every Sunday.

The formula

Each bottle holds the same 25–30% natural plant-extract concentration as the rest of the Cork Collection, blended to IFRA specifications. Six scents, all vegan, all layered enough to hold shape in a quiet bedroom for two to three months.

The cork ball

Our patented cork ball is hand-shaped from sustainably harvested Quercus suber bark. Inside the cork, the natural honeycomb of micro-pores holds oil in suspension and releases it gradually across the surface. That’s the difference from reed diffusers — the scent comes out evenly from the start, not in a strong first-week burst that fades to nothing by week three.

Why a bedroom

The cork ball is calibrated for a 20–30 sqm room — a typical bedroom, a study, a small living room. Set it on a bedside table or shelf and the scent quietly fills the space over the next hour. Close the door overnight and the room smells gently of the fragrance when you wake up; open the door in the morning and it dissipates within minutes.

Why cork, not reeds

Reed sticks wick oil to the tip and let it evaporate fast. Cork holds the oil inside its cellular structure and lets it diffuse at a steady rate. In side-by-side tests, a cork ball diffuser lasts roughly twice as long as a comparable reed diffuser at the same oil volume — and the scent profile stays consistent from day one to day sixty.

The look

The cork ball sits on top of a low-profile glass vessel and stays put on a shelf, side table or mantel. No reeds splaying in five directions, no plastic hardware. Each cork ball carries its own visible grain and joinery — no two are alike — so the diffuser reads as a small object on a shelf, not a bottle of chemicals.

Choose your scent

• Tonka Bean — Fougère woody. Bergamot top over a coumarin base of roasted vanilla and warm almond. Cozy, like a cashmere throw.
• Fig Tree — Green. Crushed fig leaf and milky sap over coconut-cream wood. Like stepping into an orchard in early summer.
• Ebony Pu’er — Smoky woody. Smoked frankincense and bitter-orange leaf over aged pu-erh tea and ebony wood. Quiet, deep, contemplative.
• Sicilian Citrus — Citrus. Kumquat, muscat grape and lemongrass open to grapefruit peel, neroli and jasmine, with ambergris accord and Calone in the base. Bright, sunlit, expansive.
• Magnolia — Woody floral. Citron and pomelo over magnolia, tomato leaf, iris and jasmine, drying down to fir, benzoin and cedar. Rain-washed, restrained, unmistakably East Asian.
• Oud Haze — Incense woody. Bergamot, bitter orange and pink pepper over frankincense, aged pu-erh, oud and myrrh, on a base of cedar, vetiver and ambergris accord. Temple-smoke, contemplative, deeply grounding.

How to use

1. Unscrew the cork ball from the glass vessel.
2. Pour the refill oil into the vessel up to the inner line.
3. Place the cork ball back on top — it sits loose, no twisting needed.
4. Set the diffuser on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight.
5. Top up with refill oil when the scent fades. The cork ball is reusable for the life of the product.
